Please note: socializing dogs, especially young dogs, is critical to their development. Puppies need to have positive experiences with new people, places, sounds, dogs on a WEEKLY basis to ensure they do not grow into insecure, fearful or even aggressive adult dogs. Please consider this when adopting during this pandemic. Socialization is currently more difficult, but it isn't any less important, so please be sure you can fulfill this need in a new dog before committing to adopt.

Indie and her siblings were given away for free outside of a grocery store. Four puppies were surrendered to Paw Placement at just five weeks old, and they've been thriving in their foster home ever since.

Indie is sweet, spunky, playful, energetic, cuddly, sassy and eager to please. She loves to play with her furry foster siblings, play with her toys, chew antlers and cuddle with her humans. She's working on her crate and house training in her foster home and, as with all young pups, she'll require lots of continued training in her forever home.

A note from foster mom: When Indie and Dubby (Dubstep) were first welcomed into the Paw Placement family, they were sweet, but wary, puppies destined to face developmental struggles as a result of being taken away from their mother prematurely. Having only ever nursed milk, transitioning them to a kibble based diet was met with resistance, as they were just barely learning to lap-up food and drink water. Naturally, they really didn’t care for my cooking in the beginning, and when they did finally eat, they weren’t very good at it. These confused, tiny pups were also defensive towards new dogs, even snarling when other animals approached their living quarters…and they weren’t a fan of the fleas that covered their two-pound bodies either! Since being in foster care, these puppies have grown on numerous fronts, starting with size and appetite. When they aren’t eating like champions, you’ll probably catch them playing with the other dogs in the home, as their (formerly) lacking social skills have completely shifted over these last few weeks. In fact, now these two love other dogs so much, they would actually do best in a multi-dog household. If they aren’t munching away at a bowl of kibble or hanging out with their doggie friends, Indie and Dubby are most likely gnawing on antlers, squeaking plush toys, or dipping their feet in the water bowl (silly chihuahuas!). They are flea-free, healthy, affectionate, full of life, and ready for their future families to fall in love with them.

If you are interested in adopting, please complete an adoption application. We will only be able to email those applicants that are approved to schedule a meet and greet. Thank you in advance for your understanding if you don't hear back from us regarding your application.
