Fawn was surrendered at 6 weeks old, weighing just 1.5 pounds, to a shelter in northern AZ. She was extremely malnourished and near death, but our rescue friends took her in and nursed her back to health. Paw Placement welcomed her at 3 months old, she was fully vetted and now she's ready to find her forever family!

Though her breed is a mystery, educated guessing tells us she's some form of herding/working breed likely mixed with husky. Fawn is energetic, playful, fiesty, intelligent and affectionate. She's mastering her crate and house training in her foster home, and she'll require lots of continued training in her forever home. Fawn is looking for a home with a doggie playmate, a yard and an experienced dog owner. Fawn has lived with cats, and would do well in a home with dog savvy cats, children, and dogs of all sizes.

Please note: socializing dogs, especially young dogs, is critical to their development. Puppies need to have positive experiences with new people, places, sounds, dogs on a WEEKLY basis to ensure they do not grow into insecure, fearful or even aggressive adult dogs. Please consider this when adopting during this pandemic. Socialization is currently more difficult, but it isn't any less important, so please be sure you can fulfill this need in a new dog before committing to adopt.

If you are interested in adopting, please complete an adoption application. Because we are still understaffed due to COVID19, we will only be able to email those applicants that are approved to schedule a meet and greet. Thank you in advance for your understanding if you don't hear back from us regarding your application.
