Wasabi and his siblings were surrendered to us via some fellow rescuers who are working hard to rectify a hoarding situation. We are so thankful for their work and excited to find these deserving babies' forever families!

Wasabi came to us at 8 weeks old and, thankfully, it's clear this Chihuahua family was treated well and had lots of positive experiences with both dogs and humans during their first 8 weeks of life. These babies are friendly and affectionate, eager to please and feisty, energetic and very playful. They race around at top speeds, bouncing and running and hopping and romping, for an hour and then they crawl and collapse, exhausted, into their crates. These puppies are spunky, and mouthy, and full of sass. They also love to cuddle, chew bones and antlers, and nap! They are NOT potty trained and will require lots of continued training in their forever homes including crate, house and potty training, and lots of continued responsible socialization.

We do not know the parents of these puppies, therefore, we cannot be sure how large they will be in adulthood. Best guess is that they will be 8-12 pounds, perhaps as large as 15. If small size is important to you, this is not the litter for you. These puppies would love a house with a yard, and a doggie playmate or two. Because they are puppies, they'll be fine with dog-savvy cats and respectful children old enough to have impulse control.

Please note: socializing dogs, especially young dogs, is critical to their development. Puppies need to have positive experiences with new people, places, sounds, dogs on a WEEKLY basis to ensure they do not grow into insecure, fearful or even aggressive adult dogs. Please consider this when adopting during this pandemic. Socialization is currently more difficult, but it isn't any less important, so please be sure you can fulfill this need in a new dog before committing to adopt.

If you are interested in adopting, please complete an adoption application. Because we are still understaffed due to COVID19, we will only be able to email those applicants that are approved to schedule a meet and greet. Thank you in advance for your understanding if you don't hear back from us regarding your application.
