Alice came to Paw Placement in deplorable condition. Her hair was matted to the point of dreadlocks, and she was absolutely covered in ticks. It is clear this girl has never lived inside a house, and has likely spent the entirety of her short life in misery living outside. Thanks to our rockstar volunteers and our amazing veterinary partners, Alice is now happy and healthy, and absolutely loving her new life in her foster home.

Alice has adjusted to her new life of leisure, and enjoys the perks including plush dog beds, air conditioning, and nutritious food and treats. She's not quite sure what toys and chews are just yet, but she's figuring out there's fun to be had in this life. She is extremely good with dogs, generally makes friends within a few moments, and she'd love to find a forever home with a doggie playmate. She has not been tested with young children, so she will not be placed in a home with children younger than 8. Alice is affectionate and snuggly, smart and eager to please, playful and energetic.

Alice is a non-shedding breed, and will require grooming every 4-8 weeks once her beautiful coat grows back. This does NOT mean she is hypo-allergenic, as dander from skin and saliva are the most common causes of allergies in humans.

A note from foster mom: Alice is really sweet with everyone, she’ll try to play with a new dog within ten minutes of meeting them (or sooner). She should have been named thumper, because the second anyone pays her any attention, she starts thumping her tail so loud I can hear it from the other room. She just wants to be by me all the time, but not like super glued to me. She doesn’t cause too much trouble in the car, but it is clearly an uncomfortable experience for her. She seems to feel safer when kenneled in the car.
