Fedora and her 4 littermates were left in a box at the edge of the reservation, cast offs from yet another preventable litter. The heat would have killed them within hours, they were only 4 weeks old after all, but a kind soul happened upon them and got them to safety.

Of course, the parents of this litter of puppies are unknown but, based on where they came from and what they look like, they are likely a mix of herding breeds - they are high energy and highly intelligent - and will need experienced homes that understand what it takes to raise a high drive breed dog. We anticipate they'll be medium sized dogs, perhaps between 45-65 pounds, but, again, as we don't know the parents, this estimate could be inaccurate. Anyone applying to adopt these pups should be open to any size adult dog.

These puppies are friendly, smart, affectionate, eager to please and still working on all of their training! As with all young puppies, they will require lots of continued training in their forever homes including crate, house and potty training, and lots of continued socialization. These puppies are not appropriate for an apartment setting; they require a house with a yard, and would highly prefer to be placed with doggie playmates.

A note from foster mom: Fedora is the boldest one of the bunch, she’s absolutely fearless and she’s the first to try anything new. She always gets excited to see me, coming over periodically for cuddles, but otherwise she’s out adventuring! She loves the kiddie pool the most.

Please note: socializing dogs, especially young dogs, is critical to their development. Puppies need to have positive experiences with new people, places, sounds, dogs on a WEEKLY basis to ensure they do not grow into insecure, fearful or even aggressive adult dogs. Please consider this when adopting during this pandemic. Socialization is currently more difficult, but it isn't any less important, so please be sure you can fulfill this need in a new dog before committing to adopt.

If you are interested in adopting, please complete an adoption application. Because we expect a large number of applications, and are still understaffed due to COVID19, we will only be able to email those applicants that are approved to schedule a meet and greet. Thank you in advance for your understanding if you don't hear back from us regarding your application.
