Smudge, Midnight and Waffle came to us via our rescue partners in northern AZ. They were being given away in a Walmart parking lot and, by the time rescue arrived, their 6 littermates were already gone. These three lucky boys are now in a Paw Placement foster home and they are flourishing.

They spent their first two days in foster care absolutely terrified; it was quickly clear that they'd had very little human contact. After a few days, though, they began to trust and, today, they are hardly recognizable.

These pups are energetic, playful, intelligent, affectionate and spunky. They are likely a mix of border collie, cattle dog and aussie, so they're looking for owners with experience, especially with working breeds. They are working on their crate training and, though it was a struggle for the first few days, they're doing extremely well now. As with all puppies, their crate, house and potty training will continue in their forever homes. These pups are not appropriate for an apartment setting; they require a house with a yard.

A note from foster mom: Midnight is definitely the rowdiest of the bunch. He loves to play with his brothers, chase his toys around the yard and be around people. He's doing great with crate and potty training and is learning to bring the ball back to you after you throw it! He's extremely social and can't wait to get love and pets from everybody he meets!

Please note: socializing dogs, especially young dogs, is critical to their development. Puppies need to have positive experiences with new people, places, sounds, dogs on a WEEKLY basis to ensure they do not grow into insecure, fearful or even aggressive adult dogs. Please consider this when adopting during this pandemic. Socialization is currently more difficult, but it isn't any less important, so please be sure you can fulfill this need in a new dog before committing to adopt.

If you are interested in adopting, please complete an adoption application. Because we expect a large number of applications, and are still understaffed due to COVID19, we will only be able to email those applicants that are approved to schedule a meet and greet. Thank you in advance for your understanding if you don't hear back from us regarding your application.
