Hashtag was found as a stray and, after an unsuccessful search for owners, was welcomed into the Paw Placement family. This silly guy is a great combo of sweet and spunky. He's energetic, playful, rambunctious, affectionate and rowdy. He's also a bit of a drama king when experiencing new things - think "hello mommy, I'm scared!" - and he'll need an owner who understands that coddling and babying a pup will surely create a nightmare adult! Hashtag is looking for a home with a doggie playmate, an active household, and a family dedicated to his continued training and socialization. Hashtag spends most days romping with his equal-sized 15-lb foster sibling, chewing on antlers and nylabones, and cuddling with his humans. Hashtag's breed is a mystery - perhaps shih tzu or wire hair dachshund, with some poodle thrown in? He is non-shedding and will require grooming every 4-8 weeks.

Please note: socializing dogs, especially young dogs, is critical to their development. Puppies need to have positive experiences with new people, places, sounds, dogs on a WEEKLY basis to ensure they do not grow into insecure, fearful or even aggressive adult dogs. Please consider this when adopting during this pandemic. Socialization is currently more difficult, but it isn't any less important, so please be sure you can fulfill this need in a new dog before committing to adopt.
