Lhasa Apso / Shih Tzu / Mixed (long coat) : : Male (neutered)
Einstein was roaming a neighborhood for about 4 months, provided with food and water by kind neighbors, until he was finally caught. Once he came to Paw Placement, he was groomed (his coat was largely shaved off in one big piece), vetted (he got a clean bill of health!) and placed in a loving foster home. And, boy, did he repay us tenfold with love and gratitude!
Einstein is a wonderful, happy, friendly and outgoing boy. He loves dogs, and he'd love to find a forever home with a doggie sibling or two. He has been wonderful with every human he's met, though we haven't been able to expose him to very young children. Einstein loves to go for walks and hikes, play with his toys, chew bones and antlers, and romp with his furry friends. He's also respectful of cats. Einstein is crate and house trained in his foster home.
According to our very experienced groomer, Einstein is likely a llaso apso/shih tzu mix, with a beautiful coat that will need grooming every 4-8 weeks. He does not shed, however, all dogs have dander and saliva, which can both cause allergic reactions. Those looking for a 'hypoallergenic' dog should be aware there's no such thing and everyone in the family should meet and spend some time with any dog to rule out allergic reactions.
