Punky Brewster was found as a stray, hanging out at a gas station, trying to jump in every car with an open door. Luckily for Punky, a few animal lovers spotted her and allowed her to jump right in their laps. After an unsuccessful search for owners, Punky is now fully vetted, in a loving foster home and ready to find her forever home.

As her name implies, Punky is the life of the party. She is energetic, playful with dogs and people, spunky and affectionate. Though she's a tiny girl at only 6 pounds, she loves to race around the yard, chasing and being chased by dogs large and small. She enjoys toys, chews and chasing anything the other dogs are chasing. Punky gives her kisses and cuddles freely to all humans once she's warmed up (which takes about 4.5 minutes). Punky has mastered her crate training and is working on her house training, as well. She is also still very much a puppy in her behaviors - she nibbles like a puppy, and bounces around the house exuberantly. She'll need a patient owner who is ready for puppy training. Due to her energy and play style, she would do best with older children. Also, if you are looking for a lap dog, Punky is not your girl - though she loves to cuddle once tired, she enjoys her playtime far too much to settle for a lap when she could be playing! We would very much prefer to place Punky in a home with a doggie playmate.
