Rufus was found as a stray when he was a tiny puppy and then fostered by a friend of our rescue a couple years ago. He earned the name “Rufus Xavier Sarsaparilla" based on the Schoolhouse Rock song.

He was recently dropped at the pound where they discovered he was chipped to a rescue. He had been adopted from that rescue, rehomed by the adopter, and then dumped at the county shelter by the person the adopter rehomed him to. The original rescue was contacted and was unable to take him back. Luckily, one of their volunteers contacted Paw Placement and we were able to save this sweet boy!
