German Shepherd Dog / American Staffordshire Terrier / Mixed (short coat) : : Male (neutered) : : Large
Applesauce found himself at the county shelter, confused and waiting for his family to come get him. But months passed...November...December...January...March...and still no family. Applesauce began to stress, deteriorating to the point where volunteers feared he would no longer be deemed adoptable, and headed for a spot on the dreaded euthanasia list. But, HAPPY ENDING, Paw Placement volunteers spotted him on the networking sites, and eagerly went to meet him. Man, was Applesauce happy to see us!! And so relieved when we sprung him from the shelter. Applesauce now lives harmoniously with eight other dogs of all sizes, and he loves to play with his doggie BFFs. He also lives with cats and, after a few corrections for chasing, he is learning to be respectful with the kitties, as well. Applesauce is sweet and affectionate boy who loves to cuddle with his humans. He likes walks and hikes, chewing on bones and antlers, and exploring new places (dog friendly patios!) with his humans. Applesauce is looking for a confident leader - though he is sweet as pie, he is also a power breed, and needs structure and guidance to continue to be the best boy he can be. No renters please, Applesauce requires a fenced and secured yard. If you are interested in adopting, please complete an adoption application.
