Sinatra was found as a stray with a heavy 10-foot chain dragging behind him, a very tight choke chain around his neck, and a two toys attached to his collar. What this tells us is that he was likely abandoned with his toys, and broke free from wherever he was tied. Though initially scared and skittish, once we had him on leash, Frank seemed relieved and ready for help (he'd been spotted loose in this same neighborhood five days before he was caught). After a search for owners turned up no leads, Frank became a member of the Paw Placement family.

Frank is a truly awesome dog! He's respectful around the house and with his humans, he's affectionate and loving, and he's wonderful with dogs of all sizes. Frank is house and crate trained in his foster home, though we suspect he spent much of his life before us living outside. Frank is playful and goofy, smart and super eager to please his people, and just the right amount of cuddly. His breed is a mystery, but we believe husky mixed with maybe shepherd or cattle dog is a great guess. He's quite agile and can jump over a seven foot black wall with ease. He'll need training or a higher/modified wall to contain him.

Frank has been cat tested, and he was curious and cautious. Though he has never lived with a cat, we feel he'd do fine with dog savvy cat and owners who can do a proper intro.
