Cattle Dog / Border Collie / Mixed (medium coat) : : Male (neutered) : : Medium
Taz and his gang of goofy siblings came to Paw Placement via a rescuer in Page, AZ. They, like so many before them, were left in a box at the edge of the reservation at just days old. Luckily for these babies, some kind souls stepped in and got them started on their path to happily ever after. Taz looks very much like a border collie and cattle dog mix, so we guess he'll be a medium (40-60 pounds) sized dog. Of course, without knowing either parent, there is no guarantee regarding either breed or size. Taz is a smart and outgoing young puppy. He is energetic and playful, spunky and active, affectionate and friendly. Taz is also a working breed dog, so he is looking for a home that understands what this means and is ready to provide an appropriate lifestyle. Taz will need structure, discipline and exercise first and foremost in his life, in order to ensure he grows into a well balanced adult dog. Taz requires a home with a yard; apartments are not appropriate for this breed. A note from Taz's foster mom: Taz is usually the first one in the pool, and he loves to actually splash and play with the toys in it! He’s the tallest male in the group (he would be the biggest, but porky’s gut has him beat), he gets loud and rough when he plays with his siblings, I think he’s more interested in other dogs and his surroundings right now, but he still loves people of course. Him and my 3-pound chihuahua female are best friends, and he plays really gentle with her (lays on his side, and let’s her win despite being three times her weight).
