Porky and his gang of goofy siblings came to Paw Placement via a rescuer in Page, AZ. They, like so many before them, were left in a box at the edge of the reservation at just days old. Luckily for these babies, some kind souls stepped in and got them started on their path to happily ever after.

Porky looks very much like a border collie and cattle dog mix, so we guess he'll be a medium (40-60 pounds) sized dog. Of course, without knowing either parent, there is no guarantee regarding either breed or size.

Porky is a smart and outgoing young puppy. He is energetic and playful, spunky and active, affectionate and friendly. Porky is also a working breed dog, so he is looking for a home that understands what this means and is ready to provide an appropriate lifestyle. Porky will need structure, discipline and exercise first and foremost in his life, in order to ensure he grows into a well balanced adult dog. Porky requires a home with a yard; apartments are not appropriate for this breed.

A note from Porky's foster mom: Porky is a superb tail wagger, loves people, will make his way over to you if you call him, the fattest male in the bunch, but it’s all love. He is a huge cuddle bug (I hope whoever adopts him has a big enough lap for this guy), he loves a good belly rub, he loves to wade in the pool, and he’s also really intrigued by the laughing ball toy in particular.

Porky will be ready for adoption in late April/early May, and we are accepting applications now.
