Cricket was born in a loving home. His mom, Holly, was hanging around an Outback restaurant. The employees wanted her to have a better life, so they got her to Paw Placement where she and her babies have been lovingly fostered.

Cricket was born with Cerebeller Hypoplasia. The cerebellum fails to develop properly in utero.   Since the Cerebellum is the part of the cat’s brain that controls his motor skills and coordination, its stunted development will lead to the animal’s underdeveloped mobility, typically characterized by a wobbly gait. Cats with Cerebeller Hypoplasia live a normal life expectancy.  They are no more prone to medical issues than any other cat.  They do not get worse over time.

They do however need some special accommodations in their environment. He will do better in a mostly carpeted home.  Cricket has excellent litter box habits, he will just need a box with a low side so he can easily access the box.
