Paw Placement received a very urgent plea regarding a pregnant chocolate lab who had been hit by two cars and was in need of immediate rescue. Upon arrival, we realized she was a tiny chocolate lab mix, not pregnant and seemingly perfectly healthy, though she was living outside 24/7. After a thorough veterinary exam and x-rays, it was determined she was not pregnant, was perfectly healthy and, after spay, is ready to find her forever home., Chocolate has lived her entire life outside, and is acclimating to indoor life in her foster home. Things we take for granted like the sound of the AC kicking on, the movement of the ceiling fan, comfortable blankets, squeak toys and clean, freak water are foreign to Chocolate. This girl is extremely sweet, gentle and submissive. Chocolate will need continued training and lots of socialization in her forever home to ensure she grows to be a happy and well-balanced adult. , Chocolate will be ready for adoption in late May.
