Hope lives up to her name. Paw Placement found her on the euthanasia list, listed because she came in as a stray and was scared in the shelter. We saw her sweet face, she touched out hearts and we felt hope, so we went to the shelter that very day to save her. Our first glimpse of her was heartbreaking - a tiny 'pocket pittie' shaking in the back of her kennel at the shelter, dogs barking all around, her teets hanging to the floor from babies that must have been taken from her much too soon, scars and hair loss all over her body. But, as she left the chaos of the shelter, she came immediately to us and clung to us, seeking comfort and affectionate and, miraculously, giving us grateful kisses. Hope is now in a loving foster home and she's blossoming. Hope is extremely affectionate, gentle and easy going. She loves to cuddle, and is learning basic obedience and manners every day. She is great with other dogs. Hope is crate and house trained. As time goes on, we'll learn more about this sweet young girl but, for now, Hope is safe and cherished in her foster home. Hope will not be placed with another powerful female dog. , If you are interested in adding Hope to your forever family, please complete an adoption application.
