Lucy was found wandering the streets, dirty, thin and scared. It was clear she'd very recently given birth to a litter of puppies and it is likely she was dumped once she was no longer useful. Lucy immediately showed us how resilient and courageous a dog can be. She was terrified of the car, of coming inside a house, of the leash - but she moved forward, trusting that her new human caretakers would keep her safe. Lucy is now house trained and crate trained, walks well on a leash, gets along well with other dogs and adores children. Despite her past, Lucy is affectionate with every human she meets. Lucy has learned to love swimming in the pool, and she's very much a coach potato who loves to cuddle with her humans.
