Lab Mix

Hi y'all! My name is Jethrine and I am a coonhound mix. I love to follow my nose -- life smells so good, you know., A volunteer with Paw Placement rescued me from the pound (between me 'n you, it DID NOT smell good there). She walked by my kennel, looked into my eyes and made the decision to take me off of the euthanasia list. Why was I on the "E" list? I am deaf....but why should I die for this? Luckily, the Paw Placement volunteer thought I had so much to live for too! , I am a well-mannered girl with the desire to please. Because I can't hear...my other senses are very keen. I am exceedingly smart, if I dont say so myself, and will likely learn the rules of your house quickly. If there are other dogs around, I just follow their lead on whatever is going on., What I want more than anything is a home of my own ... where everything smells like love (and bacon!), UPDATE FROM FOSTER MOM, "I wanted to update you on Jetherines progress. She knows how to sit and shake perfectly, and is now crate trained. (She actually loves the crate, and will nap in there without being prompted.) She also has learned "no", "down", and "out this way", again, all through hand signals. Jetherine is nearly housebroken and hasnt had any accidents in some time. She will go get her leash for you and expects to be walked when she brings it to you. , She ADORES toys and chewing on them, and loves to run and play with my other active dogs. She is obsessed with shadows; doesnt understand them. , She really wants to please, and be touched and loved on. , I am so hoping she gets adopted soon, she is such a sweet girl.
