Scooter is a totally awesome dog! He is so laid back, friendly, loves to be held and he will actually hug you back. , , Scooter's family didnt want him anymore after six years. His story isnt a unique one. Many people give up dogs after puppyhood has worn off. Poor Scoot shivered in his kennel - every bone in his body was quivering as he sat on the cold floor at Animal Care & Control. He didnt understand why he had been abandoned here., He didnt stand a good chance of getting out of the shelter alive - as an "older" dog, he couldnt compete with the bouncy, barking puppies who were also up for adoption. It didnt help that he was terrified and not presenting well., Rescuers know that the quiet, frightened dogs often end up being the best dogs in the world. Scooter did not prove us wrong. He is completely house-trained and well-behaved in the home. He is non-destructive and can be left uncrated when you leave. So long as he can chill out on the sofa, he is fine., I have been fostering dogs for ten years. SCOOTER IS THE BEST FOSTER DOG I HAVE EVER HAD. He is polite and loving. He loves to go on walks but isnt overly energetic. He gets along with all dogs and kids - he will be an awesome family friend., Yes, Scooter may be a little older but he still has many many many happy years ahead of him.
