The hazard of being an animal rescuer is that homeless animals seems to find us. Or maybe it is just that when we notice a roaming animal, we HAVE to stop., Schatzi wasnt easy to miss - she literally ran across a volunteer's path as she was driving. The little dog missed being hit by inches and the volunteer stopped to scoop her to safety., We regret to report that someone mistreated little Schatzi. She trembled in the presence of humans and was very hand shy.... sure sign of an abusive past. Poor little girl. , Schatzi bonds very deeply with her main humans and should go to an adult-only home (not because Schatzi is aggressive, but because she thrives in a quiet setting). Initially Schatzi can be shy but once she trusts you (and that process takes only a few minutes of kind handling) she will never want you to put her down. , Come meet Schatzi.
