Below is a direct account from Durango's rescuer (this is a great story!):, "I found him wandering the intersection of 16th st and Thomas. I saw him walking into the busy intersection and I screached to a halt.....pulled my truck over....jumped out,.....kneeled down and said..."come here you little cutie pie"....I hoped so much that he would come to me and not run farther into the intersection. To my surprise he ran to me...jumped in my arms and I held him close as everyone who watched this.....this intersection is very busy with both foot and car traffic....yelled and said "YEAH!!!!!!! She got him!!!!" I almost started crying....I don't know if I was more moved by the fact that this little guy was safe or the fact the everyone had just watched this event and were happy the little guy was safe.", Durango is a sweet little dog who want to be your everything. Typical of his small dogness, he has a Napoleon complex. He definitely thinks he is bigger than he is. He stands up for what he wants and is an alpha-dog (what small dog isnt, right???) That said, he does get along with other dogs. Truth be told, all he wants in life is to be carried around by his favorite human. Good thing he weighs almost nothing at all. |
