***Update!***, On my first day fostering Opie, he let me clip his nails and brush his teeth with absolutely no fuss. He did well with potty-training (but we're working on it some more just to make sure he is an expert at it). Opie went into his crate all on his own like the good boy he is. He fit right into my four-dog pack and by the end of the night was bouncing around and starting to show his little personality. At the moment, he is nestled on the couch sleeping soundly next to my little pug. Opie is very docile and sweet and will be a wonderful addition to any family. , Opie just received a dental cleaning and his teeth are sparkly clean. In fact, he has been smiling extra big lately to show off his pearly whites!, Opie recently discovered the joys of walking on a leash...this sweet pooch came to us without many basic doggy skills, so in many ways we are teaching him how to be a happy boy. It is truly a gift to see him bouncing along, smiling, playing with other dogs and seeking out human interaction., ***********, Every home should have an Opie. This dog is angelically sweet. We found him at Animal Care & Control. It was his last day and he looked at us with BIG eyes. How could we let such a precious dog be euthanized? The answer to that question is easy ... we couldnt!, Opie is a true gentle spirit. If you are patient with him and put the time and effort into gaining his trust, he will reward you with soft kisses and snuggles. We are so glad we rescued him in the nick of time. So many other dogs are not so lucky. , If you are looking for a loving canine companion who will love you to the bottom of his very soul, Opie is your guy. He is happy to be where you are. He looks up at you with those big brown eyes and you just know you are the center of his doggy universe.
