A Paw Placement volunteer was at Animal Care & Control where a woman was sitting in the lobby with a gorgeous dog. "Are you turning him into the shelter?" the volunteer asked. "Yes," the woman said. She couldnt keep him anymore but went on to tell the volunteer what a great dog she had. His name was Joe and he was beautifully trained. He can "sit" and "shake." He gets along well with cats, dogs and children. He is house-trained. Regardless of this dog's beauty and intelligence, the owner just didnt want him anymore. Instead of seeking responsible no-kill placement, she decided the pound was the best place for him., Ugh!, The volunteer told the woman to keep her dog and that she would try her best to find alternate safe placement for Joe. The woman agreed but two days later, dropped poor Joe off at the pound again. She just didnt want a dog anymore. So the volunteer went and got him., That's the story about how Joe came to Paw Placement. He is a sweet boy and will make an AWESOME family dog. , Come meet Joe - he will shake your hand and you will fall in love.
