Jasmine is an extremely sweet little dog who has somehow managed to survive what must have been difficult circumstances. When we met her in the shelter, she was coping with the loss of most of a hind leg due to an unknown traumatic injury. She was extremely afraid of people and cowered in the furthest corner of her kennel. , She has been in foster care since late January and has recovered from a proper leg amputation. With continual kindness and attention, she has blossomed into a wonderful, loving, trusting companion. Today, Jasmine wants to be wherever her people are and will quietly follow her caregiver around the house and into the yard. She loves to play with people and with friendly dogs. She acts like a puppy, although she is about twelve to eighteen months old. She loves to be held and stroked. She is good with children, cats and dogs. , Jasmine needs a very kind, compassionate home to ensure that she will never again be mistreated and abandoned.
