Domestic Short Hair (medium coat) : : Male : : Senior White with Black
Derby was abandoned outside in the cold, cold weather. He mewed plaintively outside of a volunteer's house (how do homeless animals always know who to seek help from?). The volunteer could not turn this wonderful creature away. When she first saw him, she thought he was brown and black. Surprise! Once this kitty was rescued from the streets, and relaxed enough to groom himself, we saw he had a downy-soft white coat. Derby got his name because he has a black spot over his left ear - just like a gentleman wearing a derby hat. Derby is very sweet and we think he will do best as an only cat who gets all the attention or a submissive feline buddy. More about DerbyGood with Dogs, Good with Cats, Good with Kids
