Pekinese Mix
Little Lydia was rescued from a collector situation. A woman had tooo many animals, many of them so neglected that poor nutrition had left them blind and toothless at very young ages. Lydia was initially timid when I handled her - I thought, "Oy boy. I am gonna have to give this one alotta loved and affection to build her confidence in the kindness of humans." But when I got her home, I couldnt believe the change in her personality! Once she felt safe, Lydia began prancing around the place like she owned it. She danced with delight when I pet her and she engaged my other dogs in play. Right now, she is cuddled on the sofa beside me. She is affectionate, gregarious and . . . wait for it . . HOUSE-TRAINED!! Who wudda thought??? Lydia would love a home for the Holidays. She is a sweet pekinese-mix who is ready to experience the good life.
