Unknown breed / mixed (short coat) : : Female : : Senior : : Small Chihuahua
There is a Paw Placement volunteer who has a chihuahua problem. Long story short, when she sees a chihuahua at a kill-shelter, she rescues him or her. So, imagine this volunteer walking into the Humane Society and seeing the cutest chihuahua this side of the Pecos. Little Zoe sat in her kennel, calm and composed. She was interested in everything that was going on around her. She was an older dog - all of four years old - and not many people were interested in a chubby little lap dog. We took her out of her cage and she cuddled right up. She licked faces and fingers. We put a leash on her and set her on the ground. It was then that she did the cutest thing ever. She JUMPED for joy. "Let's go!" she said, wagging herself in circles. Zoe is a precious, precious, precious creature. She is not a trembly chihuahua. She embraces life and her eyes sparkle with intelligence. She knows "Sit," "Stay" and "Lay Down." She is fully house-trained. She loves going for walks, but prefers to be carried. This little dog loves her supper, so she will need scheduled feeding to keep her weight down. Zoe is all that is wonderful about chihuahuas. She will make a wonderful family friend.
