About Tavish

  • Status: Adopted!
  • Species: Dog
  • Rescue ID: 3200
Tavish is a very well rounded puppy. He has that active terrier streak in him but is also very people-oriented and likes to please. He is moderate to high energy and would make a great earth dog or agility dog prospect. , Tavish likes children but should go to a home where all humans are old enough to have impulse control. Tavish will do fine living with cats as long as he is taught that they are not his personal play toys .. . he enjoys playing with the feline members of his foster family. , Tavish does really well with other dogs of all sizes and of both genders. He is a smart puppy and picks things up quickly. Like most intelligent and independent dogs he gets bored from repetition so don't fall into the temptation to over train! a few minutes set aside several times a day will do the trick. Tavish really likes to be involved with whatever is going on in the household and would do best in a home where he wasn't left along for long stretches of time. , Looking for a hiking partner? This would be your boy! Being a puppy, Tavish needs someone who understands the behavior that comes with puppies and provide structure when it comes to chewing and potty-training. Also, despite Scotties' small stature they are not lap dogs and do better in active family settings., Paw Placement will only adopt these puppies to homes that are familiar with the Scottie breed and are committed to loving this strong-willed yet loyal breed. If you are interested in meeting a Scottie puppy, please google the breed and read about its characteristics to see ifthe breed is right for your lifestyle., HOW DID A RESCUE GROUP GET PUREBRED PUPPIES? We rescued two Scottie females from a Puppy Mill situation. Both sisters went in for spays but it was discovered that Moira was VERY pregnant. So, voila, just a few weeks later, SCOTTIE PUPPIES!!
