Chihuahua/Dachshund

Introducing Deiter! his name means "Warrior of the, people" which fits him nicely since he loves, people! Deiter is a chihuahua mixed with something else and his foster, home fondly calls him "The chihuahua thing", This tough little dog isn't shy and is always full of kisses however he, gets defensive around dogs that are too much, bigger than he is so would do best in a home with dogs 30lbs (preferrably no dominant males please). He doesn't, seem to mind cats, so far he hasn't paid any attention to them. He is, crate trained but needs some work on potty, training. Deiter needs a patient new family willing to work with him., You see he hasn't quite come to terms with, the fact he is no longer fully male. He simply refuses to deal with the, issue and continues to mark his territory, whenever the opportunity presents itself. A belly band and possibly a, couple of appointments with a canine therapist, will help him through this transition! He has a good sense of humor and, he hopes his new parents, will have one too. He should do fine with responsible children that will, not tug on his ears or pull on, his tail. He'll make a fantastic addition to the right family!
