Unknown breed / mixed (medium coat) : : Male : : Senior Shih Tzu Mix
The Humane Society called us because Holiday's time was up. He wasn't showing well to the publc. He was fearful in his kennel and became growly as time went by. However, the minute we pulled this little furball from his kennel he loosened up. He sat in my lap. He gave kisses. So, off he went to foster care. Paw Placement does not rescue animals only to put them into a boarding facility. When dogs go from kennel to kennel, their stress levels rise and with it aggression. We want all of our doggies to go into a home setting so that we know what behavior adopters may expect when they bring a Paw Placement home. Unlike the fearful, seemingly aggressive little guy in the kennel at Humane Society, Holiday is coming out of his shell. He is still shy with new people but warms up once he knows you are safe. His foster mom thinks that Holiday is still looking for his initial owner. He was surrendered to the Humane Society when his human dad became ill and could no longer care for him. It is obvious that Holiday is used to being pampered. His stay in a kennel turned his little world upside-down but we are assuring him he is once again in a safe loving place. As we learn more about little Holiday, we will post it here ;-)
