UPDATE:Tzu Kou was groomed and behaved beautifully. What a HANDSOME doggie!, FIRST REPORT: The proper name for Shih Tzu breed is "Shih Tzu Kou" which means "Little Lion." Our little Tzu Kou certainly looked like a ragamuffin lion when we rescued him. He was matted and ungroomed. His hair hung in his eyes and was caked with dirt. He has his first grooming appointment in the morning and we can't wait to see the gorgeous little doggy hiding underneath all that fur. Poor Tzu Kou! He was found by a real estate agent in a foreclosed house. He was left with a bag of food in an un-air conditioned home. All it took was a few doggy treats and belly rubs and this furry dude was prancing like he was on the catwalk. He is a happy lolly-rolly dog who loves to snuggle. And his underbite is sooooooooooooo cute. Because of his size, we recommend that Tzu Kou go to a home where all children are old enough to have impulse control. He seems rather amiable to other dogs and we have yet to test him with cats. If you are looking for a Shih Tzu who is a little lion of love, Tzu Kou is your fella. |
