About Bruno

  • Status: Adopted!
  • Species: Dog
  • Rescue ID: 2911
Little Bruno was just so so scared. He was so tiny in his kennel at the pound. I knelt down by his gate and he shuffled, head down, tentatively to my hand. He flinched when I pet him and licked my fingers. "That's it," I thought, "All six pounds of you is coming home with me!" So, we took Bruno out of his kennel, put on his leash and that's when the shy, scared-to-death dog in the kennel disappeared. Bruno JUMPED WITH JOY when he was set free. he scampered about whining with happiness and leapt right into my car. "Where we going?" his eyes asked, tongue lolling out of his mouth. I hopped into the car, he hopped into my lap and off we went. I put a blue collar on him, he wagged like there was no tomorrow. I gave him a little squeak toy, and he hopped around like I was Santa Claus. I sat down, he crawled into my lap and fell asleep. Bruno is awesome! He is house-trained, loves to play, is an outgoing little fella who is a true love bug. He likes being carried around and sitting in laps - but isnt overly needy. When your lap isnt free, he is content to curl up on the couch. Because of his small size, we ask that Bruno go to a home where all children are old enough to have impulse control. Bruno ignores cats and enjoys canine buddies. This dog has no issues - how he ended up at the pound, we have no idea!, UPDATE: Bruno has been in his foster home now for two weeks. He continues to be a sweet, well-behaved little dog. He loves to go riding in a car and has become his foster mom's contant companion. Actually, the thought of giving up such a sweet dog makes her feel a little weepy. But finding Bruno a great home means she can save another dog by fostering. If you are looking for a great great great pup, Bruno is your guy. He is so affectionate and learns commands right away.
