Domestic Short Hair (short coat) : : Female : : Senior Tabby
Hyacinth was rescued from the pound a day before she was to be euthanized. Why was she on death row? Her former human left her behind thinking, surely someone else would come adopt such a sweet kitty. But there Hyacinth sat, a six-year-old, in a line of cages holding kittens and much younger felines. Six years old is so young for a cat. Lifespan now is averaging 20 years. But how can a full-grown sad brown tabby compete with little mewing, fluffy baby cats. Please consider opening your home to a mature feline who is very much a kitten on the inside. Hyacinth has a gentle demeanor and loves lap-sitting. She will do well with other cats and will accept a quiet canine companion. She is just a teen-ager - please give her a home!
