Shih Tzu

Louie is a 4 - 5 yr. old male Shih Tzu who weighs apx 10 lbs. He's an affectionate and friendly boy who loves to be held and cuddled. He's a bit protective of his favorite person. Louie came to us with a need for patience and discipline. He needed lots of help to learn to trust a human. Louie has come a long way and is ready for his forever home with the right person. He would do best in a home where he can receive lots of discipline, exercise, and affection. He enjoys going for walks and gets along fine with his balanced furry foster siblings and knows basic commands. Louie is housebroken and crate trained. He is a resilient fellow, quickly adjusting to his new surroundings and the fact that he now can only see out of one eye. He likes to dash around the house when he's happy or excited, loves to play with his squeaky toys, and take a snooze on the sofa. At home, Louie prefers to sleep in his crate but after politely asking permission, he likes to jump into the big bed for some cuddling and tummy rubs. This charming gentleman needs a home without young children. Louie has had a tough time in the last 6 months including being caught in a trap in Queen Creek and losing an eye. He is ready for what he deserves now - days filled with love and fun.
