Red Tabby
Jack-O-Lantern had a wet start to life. Just days after being born he and his litter - Pinky, Candy Corn, Flirt, Pumpkin and Bazooka Joe - were found nursing on their mother by children. These kids grabbed the kittens and took them to a nearby drainage ditch to see if the babies could swim. The children laughed as the kittens were drowning while the mama cat tried frantically to save them. Luckily, a good Samaritan saw the commotion and came to the kittens' rescue. She brought the mama cat into her house so that she could safely nurse her babies. Now the entire litter is ready to find loving homes. The kittens still can't swim but they all purr like motorboats.
