Newfoundland Mix

Teddy says, "Hi, I'm Teddy Bear, a Newfoundland mix. My former owners let me wander and I ended up being picked up by animal control and taken to Coconino Humane Association. When my owners were called to pick me up, they said they would but they never did. I waited and waited. It made me very sad and I sat at the Coconino Humane for over a month. That concrete is hard on an old guy's joints! A nice lady who volunteers with Paw Placement saw me and was moved by my quiet and sweet demeanor. I'm now living with her, she's my foster mom. I like it here, I get nice walks in the woods every day, but I would love to find a forever home with someone who will love me. I'll be at the Flagstaff Petsmart every Saturday from 12-3 with my foster mom. If you are interested, come see me. I love meeting new people.", Sweet Teddy Bear is a Newfoundland mix. He is a neutered male who is about 8-10 years old. He appears older because he needs to lose about 20 pounds; he weighs 118 lbs. now. He gets along with all people, and with other dogs & cats. He loves slow leisurely walks & naps. His previous owner gave him a very bad haircut, but it is growing out. By winter he will have a beautiful Newfie coat, which of course will require lots of brushing, which he loves. Once he loses some weight he'll be able to get around better too.
