This tiny puppy sits at the center of a disturbing case of animal abuse in Flagstaff. He was found chained to a park bench in a park. Police say he was weighed down with several pounds of heavy logging chain, malnourished & unable to walk. X-rays of the pup showed vets that he was suffering from 2 broken hips. In spite of the way Dexter was treated he loves people & is willing to give them another chance. He has had one surgery & will soon have the 2nd., Dexter enjoys playing with other puppies & dogs. Vets say that he will be able to go on & live a happy life following the surgery. He is fine with other dogs but tends to play too rough with cats that don't run & will chase ones that do. He is young enough to learn to live with cats., We prefer Flagstaff applicants and children over 8 yrs old.
