Domestic Short Hair (short coat) : : Female : : Senior White
Smitten was found outside a vets office at about 8 weeks of age. Besides being skinny, tired and freezing cold she had another problem....her front leg was limp and lifeless and she could hardly walk as is was dragging and causing her to fall. She was left in the right place as the vets office took her right in and after careful examination it was determined that she would be in better shape without the limp leg. Her leg was amputated and she began to flourish...she gained weight and became the darling of the office. She was off to a temporary home that was just not ideal as the resident puppy was too much for her so the search was on for a place for Smitten. No worries a phone call later and a PawPlacement volunteer was on her way over to get some pictures of the little sweetie. Pictures were taken but the volunteer just could not leave her so long story short she is now in foster waiting for her forever home. Smitten is a doll...she is full of purrs and comes running when she hears her name. She plays with toys by balancing on her back legs and swatting with her little paw. She is very gentle and loves attention. She can jump, run (a slower version!), and play like all kitties but just is a little bit more cautious. Smitten needs a gentle home as she will never be able to fully defend herself against overly inquisitive dogs or hold her own against aggressive cats. She will live a full and normal life so please be ready to make a 15 plus year commitment to this little bundle of love. |
