What happens when a college kid who decided to get a cat moves back home to parents who are allergic? That cat becomes homeless. Poor Batman didnt know what to think when he first came to our shelter. He had lived his whole life in one place and then suddenly, he was left at a vet's office with no place to go. We took one look at this beautiful boy and said, "We'll take him!" We are pretty sure that Batman is mostly if not completely a Bombay cat. His coat is like silk, he has long legs, a uniquely shaped face and soulful golden eyes. And he is soooooo sweet. Initially, Batman was shy and hissy. But once he settled into his enclosure with his cushy bed, soft blankets and wet food, he changed his tune. He began to perk up, purr and finally head butt for headstrokes. Batman will never live up to his superhero name as a fighter of crime - but he is a superhero of love! We dont know much about his likes and dislikes when it comes to other felines and canines. We will keep you posted. However, from his docile nature, we are betting that he will do just fine with both. If you have never interacted with a purebred (or mostly-bred) Bombay, now is the time to come meet Batman! |
