The first time I saw Jasper he was trying to climb the chainlink kennel door at the pound trying to get out! He desperately wanted me to know that he was a dog worthy of a second chance. I was smitten when I saw his gentle nature when I entered the kennel. Taking him for a walk and a temperament check proved quite funny as he had never been on a leash before & tried hard to escape but within minutes he realized it was OK to follow me and that if he stayed close to me, he got lots of praise and head-patting! This little boy is working on housetraining & sleeps peacefully in a crate or doggie bed. Currently he has met several small, new doggie friends in foster & gets along great. He is a bit uncomfortable around kids, so would prefer a home without children. More information will be posted as we get to know Jasper better.
