Unknown breed / mixed (short coat) : : Male : : Senior : : Large Pure-bred red Doberman
In the first part of his life, Zeus was living in a tiny kennel in someone?s backyard and hadn?t been out of it in so long, they had to get the gate open with a hacksaw. His owners were throwing food and water through the chain link so you can imagine how his water bowl looked. He was very thin and had callouses all over., He was taken in by a family who can no longer keep him., His people say he?s very dominant with other dogs, but he has been to adoption events where there was no sign of a problem. Perhaps he would get along with a mellow female. He would NOT do well in a home with excitable kids, pets, etc. and he chases cats., He?s a really sweet dog and loves people. He wants very much to please and looks up at you as if to say ?Am I doing OK? ?. He does that leaning into you thing for affection that?s so endearing.., His situation is URGENT because he has to be re-homed by Feb 16. Is there someone out there who just loves dobies and would be willing to foster, if not adopt? If you would like to meet Zeus, please contact Paula at , 928-227-1506 or, 602-403-2046.
