Domestic Short Hair : : Female : : Senior Black Domestic Short Hair
Ari is a little survivor and how she is even alive today is worth, a story! I was headed to work one morning amidst rush hour traffic trying to, enter I-17 from an access road...I was late, and traffic was moving fast when, I spied a little black lump on the side of the almost freeway. I was saying, a little prayer for this kitty as I was sure she had been killed when I saw, her lift her head...that was it...I was going to get involved but it was too, late to pull my normal slam on the brakes maneuver so...I had to back track, a mile to get back thru traffic to get back to her and all the while praying, she stayed put and figuring out how to get to her. She was lying up against, a 20 foot high concrete wall with traffic whizzing by just feet from her on, a fast moving road along side I-17. Once I located her, I pulled on to a side road to park;, jumped out of the car with a blanket and started to watch for an opening in, traffic. A truck driver saw me and when I waved he pulled over and blocked, the side road...then out of nowhere a school bus appeared and the driver put, on her blinkers and put out the stop sign so all traffic would stop! I flew, across the road threw the blanket over the kitty and scooped up her tiny, little body. We were back in the car in a flash and I was punching in my, vets phone number before I even started the car. We flew off to the vet. At, the vet I cautiously unwrapped a very silent bundle to find two gold eyes, and a small black kitty....her footpads were raw BUT she stood up! She, stayed at the vets for observation and after two days was up and around with, no signs of any issues. She earned the name ARI....for my little Access Road, Incident! Ari is now a happy healthy kitty who loves attention! She boarded, at my vet for 3 months as I waited for some room to open at my home for her., The vet reported that she was an absolute love and from what I can see she, loves attention. She is a bit shy at first but after a few days settling in, she was running up to greet me when I came to the door. Although she has, been in plenty of scary situations she has never shown any signs of anything, but sweetness! If you are ready to add a little kitty to your home...Ari is, ready for her forever home!
