black labrador/pit bull mix

Hi peoples! My name is Zen....that's cuz the rescue folks think I'm pretty chill ... and they're right. I can be laid back but I'm also still a young girl learning the ropes so I can get kind of hyper when fun things happen ... like ya know when another friendly fun dog comes along to play ... well then I get so excited to have a new friend I just jump around, jump, jump around! I love meeting people and I am very friendly. It doesn't take long before I put my head down and nuzzle with a new person. What can I say? I make friends fast! I came from Apache Junction AC&C where I spent some time. I'm not sure how or why I ended up there but these nice volunteers came through one day and I guess they saw something in my Zennnnnnny personality cuz they talked Paw Placement into taking me into their care until I could find a permanent home. When I'm alone in my kennel, I lay in the sun dreaming of a family of my own. They would be people that like to go out on bike rides, hiking or on long walks ... ya know ... cuz that's what I like to do. If you like yoga, I'm willing to give it a try ... these rescue people tell me it goes with my name but I don't know if I can cross my legs in all those funny positions. My dream family would also have some patience to teach me house manners like how to sit and stay and cool stuff that other dogs know. In return I'll give them a long time of Zen entertainment! So if you think you might want to bring a little Zen to your life and can commit to love me forever through thick and thin even moving, marriage, divorce, and babies, then please apply for me and the nice rescue people will see if we're a good match.
