It was cold on Christmas Eve night. So cold that we rushed from heated home to warmed-up car for a last minute run to the store. Before we made it into the car, we heard a plaintive meow. Of course, we had to stop and look for the source. And there she was . . . standing beside our car wheel, looking at us as if to say, "It's Christmas Eve. I am cold." We brought her inside and given the date, named her Evie. Evie is a VERY . . . no, scratch that . . . an EXTREMELY loving cat. She never stops purring and must go to a home where there are other animals. She craves attention, loves belly rubs, will snuggle 24 hours a day if you let her. In short, she is a true holiday gift.
