Sometimes in life you just have to ?cowboy up? and take the hard knocks as they come, even when those hard knocks are undeserved. There?s no one who knows the real meaning of having to do that more than this sweet little guy, Cowboy. , Cowboy was a loyal companion, who for unknown reasons, was brought to the Coconino Humane Society. He is a mature dog, between 8 and 10 years of age, and so he?d like to speak for himself. Cowboy says: "My heart was almost broken when my family left me at Coconino Humane. I still wonder what happened to them, and I sit in the yard and look out the gate, thinking that they will come back for me. I'm a very good dog. I don't have bad habits that young dogs sometimes do, like barking (I never bark at all), digging, chewing, etc. I may not be young anymore, but I will spend the remainder of my days loving you. I enjoy walks very much, and I do not pull on the leash at all. I would be good with a family, a retired couple/person, and I would fit well with many situations.?, Cowboy is neutered, housebroken, and crate trained. He is also good with kids, other dogs, cats, and people of all shapes and sizes. What more could someone ask for?, Cowboy wants a forever home where he will never have to worry again about being abandoned.
