Teegan is intelligent, eager to please, and loyal. She was picked up as a stray by the Coconino Human Association and spent two months there waiting for a family (most days she went to PetSmart and spent the days meeting people and their dogs). It is hard to understand why such a loving dog like this would be over looked. For all the negative stereotypes surrounding her breeding, nothing could be less true of Teegan. She is not easily startled and is as sweet as a puppy. Because of her size, she would do best with kids 8 and older. Recently, we found that Teegan has arthritis and some dysplasia in the elbow of her right front leg. The vet recommended to have Teegan placed in a moderate, activity household---so no avid hiking --- just daily walks and making, sure she does not jump down a lot on her front two legs., , Teegs has endless energy and enjoys going out with her people, but doesn?t mind being left at home (no chewing, accidents, or trash digging). She has only lived with us a short while and already she has proven herself to be a lovable member of our house. I?m sure if you are willing to give her the time she needs that she will slip easily into your family as well., , The employee that took Teegan to Petsmart for the last 2 months, hoping to find her a loving, forever family had this information to share., "Even though she went through a lot in the last 60 days her tail was always wagging. She adapted well to new experiences and the people and dogs at Petsmart. However, she has made it pretty clear that she would prefer to be the only dog in the household. Teegan is a quiet dog., , , She has met many children and has been good with all of them therefore we will consider families with children as young as 8 yrs old.
