Tabby/Abyssinian Mix

Grace originally got her name because she is the momma of kittens, Elvis and Priscilla. So we named her after The King Of Rock-n-Roll's home, Graceland. However, the name Grace has now taken on a whole new meaning. After Grace's litter was old enough to be weaned, Paw Placement found a litter of young kittens in need of a momma cat. Grace graciously accepted them. We rescued Grace from the pound when her litter of kittens were only days old. Something about the way she looked at us from her cage said, "Please, take me with you - I will make it worth your while." And she did -- she is one of our biggest animal rescue heroes. She helped us save more lives this year by snifling down on strange kittens and rolling over without hesitation so they could nurse. And for that, she earns her stars for love and grace! In as much as Grace is accepting of kittens, she is a kitty cat who will need careful introduction to other felines in the home. She is initially hissy with "strange" animals but with time, she will share space with them. Grace loves human attention and is quite loving. And she is beautiful - no picture can do her justice. Her eyes are a unique greeny-yellow and her coat has the ticking pattern attributed to the Abyssinian breed of cat. Please come see our Grace kitty - she has done a lot for us.
