Ginger is a Paw Placement veteran - we adopted her out to a loving family 4 years ago, but things changed and they could no longer keep her. She lived for a time in a new household, but was stressed by the other dogs, apparently feeling that she had to compete with them for food and attention. She's back now in a Paw Placement foster home, enjoying life as an only dog., Ginger is a great family dog - very sweet, gentle, happy, and affectionate. She loves her walks/runs in the forest, then comes home exhausted and ready for a nap. She rides politely in the car, comes when called and sits on command, is housebroken, and is quiet and well behaved in the house and yard. She's excellent with people and loves kids., Her foster mom is working with her on crate training and walking nicely on leash, and reports that she is learning fast. They have encountered other dogs while out on walks, and there have been no problems; she is friendly with neighbors' dogs. We know that Ginger does well as an only dog, but she would likely get along with a companion dog or two with proper introductions and supervison., Ginger is ready to go where you go, do what you do, and end the day with her head in your lap. What more could you ask? We would be happy to arrange a meeting.
