About Honey

  • Status: Adopted!
  • Species: Dog
  • Rescue ID: 1947
Honey was seen wandering the parking lot of a hospital in the evening hours for several days but she was so scared she would not allow anyone to help. Her soon to be rescuer kept her supplied with food and water and watched out for her. It took about a week before Honey decided that she really needed help and she accepted a ride home with her rescuer and thus Honey's life took a 180 degree turn. Honey is living with a cat who she pretty much ignores and this little sweetie is housetrained and appears to be done with her chewing stage! She is very eager to please. She is a little shy at first but then when she is comfortable she loves to pretend she is a lap dog! Honey is about 40 pounds and has a longer leaner build. She has a sort coat and a beautiful dark muzzle. Her tail is tipped in white and she adores attention. Although we have only had her around a 4 month old puppy we suspect she would love another dog to pal around with as she will whine and try to get near he foster brother (who does not seem to want any company!). Honey is just waiting for a home that will provide her the care and attention she needs so that she never needs to scrounge for food, water and shelter again., UPDATE FROM HONEY'S FOSTER MOM: Honey, is just that: as sweet as Honey! Honey was found wandering around a central Phoenix hospital. She flirted the first evening but the next night she decided it was too hot and she was too hungry, she ran right up to me and started kissing and loving.... , Honey is an absolute sweetheart. She has been on the leash and does well, a great walking companion... she is a very quiet girl. She rides well in the car and seems to enjoy outings as much as staying home and cuddling. She is very alert and would make a great addition to any family. Honey loves to cuddle and kiss and just spend time with you., She appears to be housebroken, we have had no accidents., A recent trip to Petsmart went very well, she just loves other doggies., Honey is a reall sweetheart who needs a loving forever home., Although Honey has not interacted much with the cats in her foster home, she is NOT aggressive in anyway, they have passed in the hall and nothing has happened. She seems eager to meet people and furry friends. Wouldn't you like to be the one to say "Hi Honey, I am home" after a trip out of the house?
